Navigating Uncharted Waters: Scenario Planning for Board Excellence
Overview: The business landscape is increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA). Boards of directors are under immense pressure to steer their organizations through these turbulent waters. Scenario planning is a powerful tool that can equip boards with the foresight and agility needed to navigate these challenges and emerge stronger.
Two takeaways from our recent PRISM conference were that board members should be “noses in and fingers out” from an operating standpoint and that they need to focus the CEO and management on predicting and shaping the future direction of a company.
Scenario Planning is a discipline that helps boards and management develop a process-driven approach to excel in both these areas through: · Understanding our volatile whitewater world · Enhancing Strategic Foresight · Building Organizational Resilience · Improving Decision-Making · Aligning Stakeholders
Please join the SoCal Chapter as fellow PDA member Dr. Leonard Lane makes the case for Scenario Planning, offers case studies to demonstrate its value, and develops the key elements needed to forge a Scenario Planning Process.
After the program, stay for our annual Holiday Gathering, meet and greet other PDA members, and join us for food and refreshments!
