Private Directors Association Announces Jean Vernor as President of Detroit-Toledo-Windsor Chapter
The Private Directors Association (PDA) is proud to announce the appointment of Jean Vernor as the President of its Detroit-Toledo-Windsor Chapter. With her extensive leadership experience and commitment to business transformation, Vernor is poised to lead the Detroit-Toledo-Windsor Chapter to new heights, reflecting the city’s dynamic business landscape. Vernor succeeds Kimberly Rodriguez, who has served as Chapter President since 2020.
Jean Vernor brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role. She has significant C-Suite P&L leadership with turnarounds of businesses across various sectors, including automotive, financial services, insurance, and consumer goods. Vernor is a former CEO and Fortune 50 Division President, known for scaling start-ups and turning around underperforming, complex businesses. Her strengths include financial acumen, data/analytics and predictive modeling leadership, governance/internal controls, human resource prowess, strategy and marketing depth, and technology/business model transformation.

Vernor also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Detroit Historical Society and has previously served on the Board of Directors for Professional Examination Service. Her career highlights include transforming a $350M Direct-to-Consumer business at MetLife, leading the turnaround of a $130M PE-backed global education company, revitalizing an underperforming PE-backed consumer products company, and turning around an unprofitable Roadside Assistance business for GE.
The PDA Detroit-Toledo-Windsor Chapter, led by volunteers who contribute their time and expertise, serves as a hub for directors, executives, owners, and the C-Suite of private companies. Through expert programming on leading board practices, the Chapter facilitates peer-to-peer networking and informs members about current and challenging topics facing the local private company community.
