Spotlight: At the Center of It All: Sue Siradas Helps Bring PDA’s Educational Vision to Life

Spotlight Series

When Sue Siradas joined PDA in early 2024 as Director of Education and National Events, she brought more than a decade of experience in educational programming and event planning. Prior to PDA, she served as Director of Education Resources for the Appraisal Institute, where she managed the development and delivery of classroom and online learning for real estate appraisers nationwide.

Today, Siradas leads PDA’s national events and educational programs, partnering closely with volunteers across seven committees and task forces. From developing new educational resources to shaping member learning experiences, Siradas plays a central role in keeping PDA’s programming moving forward.

“What’s really inspiring is seeing how engaged and invested our volunteers are,” She shares. “They put in so much time and energy to develop and improve our programs. Their dedication is incredible.”

One of Siradas’ current priorities is supporting the National Conference Committee (NCC) as they plan PRISM 2025, PDA’s flagship conference taking place October 7-9 at Disneyland® Resort. “This is the second year we’re planning PRISM, and it really is a conference for members, by members,” she explains. “The committee was instrumental in getting the first event off the ground last year, and they continue to bring even more energy and excitement to this year’s planning.”

Beyond PRISM, Siradas works with volunteer leaders on a wide range of educational initiatives, including certificate programs, webinars, and other learning opportunities designed to support PDA members at every stage of their governance journey.

Reflecting on her first year at PDA, she says she feels fortunate to work alongside such a dedicated community. “It’s a critical mission with far-reaching impact—not just for private companies and boards, but for the members who make it all happen,” she says. “I also really enjoy working with our ‘small but mighty team’.”

When she’s not working, Sue enjoys reading, traveling, and staying active in the association community as a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

Looking ahead, she’s most excited to hear what attendees think of this year’s PRISM conference—especially those joining for the first time.
