The Private Directors Association is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2026 Outstanding Volunteer Service Award, which will be presented at PRISM 2026 this October in Atlanta. This annual recognition honors individuals whose dedication, leadership, and service have made a meaningful impact on PDA and helped strengthen our mission to advance private company governance through connection and education.
About the Award
The Outstanding Volunteer Service Award recognizes an exceptional individual whose dedication and service have significantly advanced the mission of the Private Directors Association. Through their leadership and passion, the individual has strengthened our place in the community to foster support for private company governance through connection and education. Their unwavering commitment to volunteerism exemplifies the values of integrity, collaboration, and excellence, inspiring others to actively engage in shaping the future of the organization. Their contributions may include:
- Mentorship and Guidance: Providing invaluable support and expertise to emerging leaders in private company governance.
- Committee Leadership: Serving in key volunteer roles, spearheading initiatives that drive engagement and innovation within the organization.
- Advocacy and Outreach: Championing the value of private company governance and expanding PDA’s influence within the business community.
- Event Participation: Dedicating time and energy to participating in networking events and educational opportunities that foster meaningful connections.
All nominees must be a current PDA member in good standing.
Nominations Process
Nominations will be reviewed by the PDA Award Task Force. Nominees will be considered based on their service record and content submitted in the application relative to the characteristics and achievements that make the individual exceptional in their volunteer service to PDA. - Nominations Open: Friday, May 1
- Nominations Deadline: Monday, June 1, 2026 at 5:00 PM CDT
- Notification: Nominees will be notified of the Award Task Force’s decision by mid-June 2026
- Award Presentation: The recipient will be recognized at the PRISM 2026 Conference in Atlanta, GA
