Evans Takes Over as President of San Francisco Chapter

Chapter Leadership
San Francisco

The Private Directors Association (PDA) has announced the appointment of Hazel S. Evans as the incoming President of the San Francisco Chapter.

Evans brings a combination of executive leadership and board experience, along with a commitment to advancing thoughtful, human-centered governance. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with CEOs, founders, and boards during critical inflection points—helping organizations strengthen leadership, scale effectively, and navigate complexity with clarity and integrity.

Within PDA, Evans has been an active leader in the San Francisco Chapter, most recently serving as Chair of the Membership Committee. Prior to that role, she served as Vice Chair and as a committee member. Across each position, she helped strengthen the Chapter community, foster meaningful connections, and support member growth.

Evans’ approach aligns closely with the organization’s mission to support and elevate the next generation of board leaders. Known as a connector and advocate for strong governance practices, Evans emphasizes that effective boards are built not only on expertise, but also on trust, character, and collaboration.

PDA also expressed appreciation to outgoing San Francisco Chapter President Steve Sellick for his leadership and dedication. During Sellick’s tenure, the Chapter expanded in strength and engagement while continuing to build a vibrant, connected community.

With Evans stepping into the role, the San Francisco Chapter will focus on expanding its community, deepening member engagement, and continuing to create meaningful pathways for board service. PDA encouraged members and stakeholders to join in welcoming Evans as she begins her term as Chapter President.
