Join PDA Houston for an interactive workshop designed to help current and aspiring board candidates strengthen the materials and skills needed for board opportunities. Participants will gain practical guidance on refining their LinkedIn presence, board resume, board bio, and interview approach, with insights from experienced professionals in executive branding, recruiting, and career strategy.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet for the workshop session. The program will also include an evening networking session and panel discussion, offering additional perspective and connection opportunities for those looking to advance their board readiness.

Robin Kessler Career Coach The Interview Coach

Robin Kessler is a career coach and human resources consultant known for strategically collaborating with executives to develop stronger resumes and bios targeting competitive corporate board and career opportunities. As the author of Competency-Based Resumes, Competency-Based Interviews, and Competency-Based Performance Reviews, she has a history of helping her clients recognize the competencies needed by organizations and which of their own professional accomplishments to emphasize to effectively market their background. In addition to her own career and executive coaching practice, Robin is faculty at the University of Houston-Downtown’s College of Business and has primarily taught business communication, presentation skills, and human resources classes. Throughout her career, Robin has been quick to identify career trends and help her clients position themselves for success. She started her career in human resources for four major energy and manufacturing companies and has worked as a consultant and coach for individuals and teams from a wide variety of industries, including healthcare, engineering, and the U.S. military. A native Houstonian, Robin has a BA from Northwestern University and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
